My Lineage & Philosophy
One of the beautiful things about a Yoga practice is, it can evolve as we do, serving us in whatever phase of life or condition we find ourselves in.
In the past I’ve practiced and taught a range of classes from Aerial, Acro, Meditation, Nidra, SUP, to traditional Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin. These days, like giving a massage, I love to utilize the tools of Yoga and Meditation to help myself and others relax deeply and feel at ease in their body, while maintaining a sustainable movement practice.
Modern research is proving what the ancient Yogis discovered long ago…
It is essential and imperative for deep healing and efficient functioning of all systems of the body, to reside in the parasympathetic nervous system (a relaxed state, where the body repairs and regenerates). In modern culture and the current state, many of us reside primarily in sympathetic nervous system response, also known as fight or flight (not able to rest/heal in this chronic stress state).
Yoga and its rich philosophy has endless tools to assist us in healing deeply on all levels.
